Denim is a rugged cotton twill textile, in which the filling yarn passes under two or more warp yarns. This produces the familiar diagonal ribbing identifiable on the reverse of the fabric, which distinguishes denim from cotton duck. Weights ranging from 6~14 oz/squared yards in a 2/1 or 3/1 interlacing pattern.
